Swedish producer/DJ John Dahlback is giving away one of his masterfully crafted productions. A dance floor killer in its own respect, “Rebels” features a more distorted sound than we’ve ever heard from Dahlback, as twisted bass and synths take control after a kick drum prominent introduction. His signature joyful vibe returns on this production – present in the lead, and even stronger after the drop. As is the pattern with many modern house songs, the first drop makes use of a more prominent low end driving bassline, whilst the second drop brings the catchy melodic synth line more to the fore. Dahlback is on fire, and the fact that he’s given this away for free only furthers his reputation as one of the popular figures of the perhaps less commercial Swedish House scene. Check this out.
