One of the men who has pioneered the so called “trouse” crossover, and a longtime stalwart of the Anjunabeats Stable, Russian superstar Arty returns to form with this, his contribution to the legendary Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 from Friday. Breaking into the scene with his incredible remix of Ferry Corsten’s anthemic Punk, Arty since then has been able to master both trance and house with equal aplomb with such bangers as Around the World, Trio alongside countrymen Matisse & Sakho, and rebound with Mat Zo. We featured Arty as one of our Artist Spotlight profiles a few weeks back, and it is fitting that he is honoured with this, one of the best essential mixes I’ve heard in quite some time. I’ve been itching to post it since Friday, and it certainly does not disappoint. Arty is certainly not going away anytime soon.
